Extended Stay America - Providence - Warwick

The room had smell up on entering and it was not a fresh scent. There was no bed lining on the couch even though I had mentioned in the booking there will be three of us traveling. When I opened the couch it was full of debris of different nature and stages of decomposition. The fan had a finger thick accumulation of dust on its blades and as a cherry on top, there was a tangle of dark human hair on the table. The bed sheets on a king size bed was not fresh neither. All of this I brought to the attention of a front desk clerk and some issues were fixed within the check in day. I complained to a manager's assistant Heather the next morning and she offered me to check out. I refused because we had plans for our stay and I was not in a position of wasting a day looking for another accommodation. She than assured me everything will be corrected before we come back to the room in the evening. Nothing had been done. The front desk girl helped to straighten things up. Before departure I wanted to speak to a manager, but couldn't catch him. Heather, his assistant, took my phone and promised me he will call me. It had never happened. I am very disappointed. We had stayed at the chain previously, we liked everything and it was the reason for us to choose Extended Stay again, but the present experience was definitely, the worst. It was not only because of cleanliness of the place, but mostly on ignorance and carelessness of the management.

I needed to stay a few days because there was no water at my place. I found this hotel on the whim and it was a huge disappointment. Deceiving online photos 📸. Hallways smelled of disgusting cooking in the rooms. I guess that's to be expected in an Extended Stay which is obvious. Kayla was a helpful and kind. Granola bars, prepackaged muffins, teas, and regular coffee for breakfast.

Buckle up because this is going to be a RIDE. Let’s set the tone. My 73 year old disabled father stayed here from September-December 2023. Plenty of time to get a really solid opinion of this place. The cleanliness of both rooms he occupied was subpar to say the least. It’s very clear whoever “cleans” this place is underpaid and over worked, or just doesn't care to do a good job. The rooms are promised to be cleaned once every 2 weeks “due to Covid”. Are they serious? Find a new excuse. The front desk staff did not clean my fathers room more than once in the four full months he was residing there, and when I inquired about it they told me he declines the service and won’t let them in. Of course I ask my dad what’s been going on and he’s baffled at their response, as he himself had requested at bare minimum the floors be vacuumed…which didn’t happen. They lie to cover up their inability to properly run a hotel. I cleaned the room so he didn’t live in squalor. To my disgust, I found insects and baby cockroaches covering the window sill when I pulled the curtains open. They were also in the main lobby, although it doesn’t seem to bother management or the staff. Ah, the manager named Joel! This ray of sunshine harassed and attempted to assault my (again) ELDERLY FATHER who can barely walk without assistance because he complained that the plumbing wasn’t working in his room. This man SCREAMED at him, threaten to have him evicted and thrown onto the street, and went as far as to follow my father to his vehicle in an attempt to physically fight him. A 73 YEAR OLD MAN. Moving on from the violent sociopath of a manager, their pricing is all over the place without an explanation. There were a few of us picking up the tab for his stay, and we were all told different prices and given different excuses as to why. They also maintain credit card information on file without consent and charge fees as they see fit, despite being fully up to date on payment. Needless to say, if I could give zero stars - I would.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I have never complained about a hotel before. I checked out a day early because I thought I was going to get murdered here. I checked in at 11p (after a very long day of working and travel). I did not feel safe enough to attempt to sleep until 2am. I woke up at 4am to a door opening (not mine, but it still scared me). I did not sleep the rest of the night. I checked out at 6:30a. Also, one of the lights almost sparked and my room smelled so bad that I wanted to throw up. It was a 5 hour trip for me to get to this hotel. I dealt with another 5 hour trip the day I checked out because I did not want to deal with this hotel another night. ALSO while filling out the survey for the hotel, they specifically asked about the fridge, stove, lights, faucets, elevator, etc not working which makes it seem like they know it doesn't work and are choosing not to do anything about it. I was not compensated for this trauma.
